Amazing Things To Do in Taipei Taiwan 2023

There are so many amazing things to do in Taipei, Taiwan. I was so lucky that I spent 25 days on my third and 26 days on my fourth visit.

Do you need a visa in Taiwan?

During my first visit in 2016, I was eligible for a visa-free stay in Taiwan because of Japan visa. The travel authorization certification allowed me to stay 30 days. I spent 4 days and 3 nights in Taipei for less than US$200.

After that, there is a visa exemption for Philippine passport holders. It allows staying for 14 days in Taiwan, effective until July 31, 2023.

Taiwan is my alternative to Japan when the latter becomes expensive. So going to the capital city of Taipei is my alternative to Tokyo.

How to reach Taipei from Taoyuan airport?

Getting off Taoyuan airport is simple and convenient as there is now a metro going to Taipei. You can book an EasyCard via Klook as you can easily pick it up at the airport. Also, you can book a Taiwan High-Speed Rail Unlimited Tourist Pass for 2 or 3 days, if you want to see the western side of Taiwan.

Do you need 4G WiFi in Taiwan?

You can book a 4G Wifi in Taiwan via Klook which you can pick up at Taoyuan airport. I also used iVideo pocket WiFi in Taiwan.
