South Korea Visa Denied Stories – a Heart Breaking Experience | List of Accredited Travel Agencies for South Korea Visa Application
Last Updated on December 21, 2019 by Roxanne Tamayo
Denied South Korea Visa
You read it right, I’m sharing with you my South Korean visa denied story. It was May 2016 when I booked a promo flight to South Korea. I waited for this to experience winter in South Korea which is just a 4-5 hours flight from Cebu. On January 25, 2017, I went to the Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Cebu. My scheduled trip is from February 15 to 22, 2017.

I submitted my application on January 25, 2017, at their office. Their address is:
Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Cebu
12/F Chinabank Corporate Center

South Korea Visa has stricter visa requirements |South Korea Visa Denied
I received an email on January 30, 2017, that I was advised to submit two (2) guaranty letters.
- Filipino guarantor must be (1) government official or officer, and (1) your company owner, department head or HR manager;
- Guarantor must duly accomplish the Letter of Guarantee (see attached form); and,
- Submit a letter together with Guarantor’s Passport bio-page copy (if available). A Photocopy of the Guarantor’s government office ID (for government officer guarantor) or company ID (for company guarantor), front and back.
In addition to the guaranty letters, you are required to submit an explanation letter describing the following:
- Exact Annual Income
- Companions to/in Korea
What Went Wrong – South Korea Visa Denied
To be honest, I am sad by the fact of the South Korea visa denied. But it is expected when I received an email for additional documents. Here are some of the reasons what went wrong:
- I don’t have a Filipino guarantor (a government officer) to sign the guarantee letter. I mentioned in the letter that it’s a personal expense, a gift to myself. The reasons for having a Filipino guarantor to sign the letter is that:
(a) the guarantor ensures that the applicant abides by the laws and regulations of Korea,
(b) the guarantor will shoulder the travel expenses for the applicant’s return if he/she is unable to pay them,
(c) the guarantor shoulders the expenses arising from the applicant’s stay or detention in Korea if he/she is unable to pay them. - I don’t have any companions to/in Korea as I mentioned again and again that I am a solo traveler.
My Speculations for Why my South Korea Visa got Denied
Since I’ll be traveling solo, maybe the embassy thought that I would stay illegal in South Korea. And look for a job which I don’t have any intention. My only ultimate goal is to experience winter.
Remember my Denied Canada Visa Application? It was also my chance to experience winter last January 2015, but it never happened. No more winter experience for me.
Reasons for South Korea Visa Denied

You read it right, “You and/or your family failed to prove strong economic ties to the home country.“
My affiliation with a non-profit organization I am involved with is not considered a strong economic tie to the home country.
South Korean Embassy Philippines Address

My Travel History
As a Filipino traveler, you might ask where I’ve been. So yeah, I’ve been to Five Countries in 2015 including Japan and Taiwan. But then, wherever I’ve been to, it’s useless. Sad.
Well, maybe South Korea doesn’t need Filipino tourists because of the stricter rules of visa requirements. Perhaps, I’ll just say goodbye to my wasted ticket to South Korea, will never experience snow and maybe avoid to visit this country for now.
Well, I am heartbroken since this trip to South Korea is a gift to myself for a solo traveler like me. I’ll just shave ice and eat halo-halo instead.
Somehow, I was able to Go to Boracay – Moving on from a Failed Winter Trip.
Check out the comments below as you can also read other people sharing their South Korean visa denied stories.
How to Avoid South Korea Visa Denied?
Since South Korea has stricter visa rules than Japan, it is better that you have a guarantor. That was my problem since it stated that I had I failed to prove strong economic ties to the home country. Of course, the more money you have in your bank account, the better.
There are some banks that if you have these certain credit cards, you can avail automatically a single entry visa, luckier if it’s multiple entry visa.

Sorry to hear your story but they have snow in Japan too.
Yep I’ll go to Japan next time. 😂
I was denied as well. I renewed my passport before applying SK visa. I forgot to show my old passport. The fact that I already have invitation from our Korean friends.
oh sayang naman.
I want to let you know that you have to remember that there is a strong reason behind every failure, soon enough you will realize why it did not happen (your trip to korea) and by then you’ll realize that God has a better plan for you. 🙂
Thanks for the encouraging words Mae. <3
If you have an employer would it be easier to apply for the visa even as a solo traveler?
You just really need to comply all requirements because South Korea is really strict for Filipino tourists.
Sad to hear that po ., but dont worry po spend winter in japan instead next time.. I actually submitted also my korean tourist application yesterday. Will see and pray if granted or not,, like you i want to see a real snow and experience winter,, im scared that they are more strict now., good luck to me
Thanks God I was approved for my Visa for my Korea trip this Feb 3-8
One of my friends friend was also denied to got her visa in Korea sadly the ticket was cost a little bit expensive.
why was your friend denied ?
I’m also a businessmen category and I will be traveling by April 9 to April 15. I don’t have ITR yet for my business since it was just started last December 28, 2017. I do have ITR for my previous employer though. Can this be valid and be approve?
You can try po.
This would devastate me, to be honest. I’ve been to Korea twice, and I am grateful that they granted be single-entry visas. I’ve yet to go to Japan, though. Why not spend a winter in Japan instead? I really hope you don’t give up on going to Korea. How about going to Jeju? I heard you don’t need a visa to go there. Cheer up!
Yep Baka next year po ulet sa Japan. Hanap nga ako Jeju island mahal pa eh.
Na denied din po ako knina lang kahit complete docs nmn ako. Waiting ulet after mg six months. Sobrang sakit pala tlaga. Wala nko nagawa kundi umiyak nlng
I am so sorry to hear that. Next time ulet.
hi nadeny dn po ang sister ko dapat tatlo kmi with my wife.. siya lang nadeny. and since ako nagprocess lahat ng documentations namin bigla ako nanlambot tuhod ko sa embassy upon receiving the passport niya na nadeny. I know factor tlga dun is first time traveller siya pero tanong ko lang sa lahat.. has anyone re-applied for visa and were approved after the first failure? ano po ang ginawa nyo? salamat sa advise na gagawin ko for her because definitely sasamahan ulit nmin siya next winter 🙂
Nadeny din yung sa boyfriend ko just today ako yung grabe ang iyak altho na approved yung visa ko. Pero we both planned to go by Jan 2018. I guess il be a solo traveler. heartbreaking 😭
miss mae anong reason bakit ka nadenied? Hehe kanina lang ako ng apply. My God so nervous first time ko kasi mgtravel abroad.
Try again na lng nxt time
Japan nalang ulet. Hehe 😊
Mag apply ka ng BDO or BPI Gold credit card, ung first try ko was denied din po kaa nag apply ako ng BDO Gold na credit card, ayun po granted ung visa.
hindi po ako mag apply ng credit card. hehe
What I mean is, dapat nag apply ka kc pareho silang may promo na multiple entry visa
Ayaw ko po talaga mag apply ng credit card. Avoid utang. 😊
Can you still get denied if you have a bpi/bdo gold credit card but is unemployed? Is COE still required?
Sharelove ipinakita mba ung gold credit card mo sa korean embassy?
A photocopy of your gold card attached dun s mga requirements na isusubmit mo. Ok n po un. I got my multiple visa thru that bpi gold.
so sad to hear that you were denied. Keep trying with other countries visa, then go back with Korea and hopefully you can get approve.
Opo no worries, nakapag move on naman. 😊
My gosh, I’m a little bit nervous about my visa application. I booked my flight to Korea this November which is Autumn dun, I’m from Davao pa – I know it will be hard to apply for a visa in my part since wlang Embassy yung Korea dito sa Davao so I have to fly over in Manila or Cebu just to submit my application. But i’m also considering if I could just ask for help sa mga tour agency. But what made me nervous is baka ma deny din ako. I’m a full time employee sa isang private company – not sure if this will be an edge to get my visa approved? Korea is not my first country- been to Malaysia, SG, Hongkong and Macau pero non-visa yun lahat. Eh ikaw nkapunta ka na nga ng Japan pero so sadden to hear that you weren’t granted a visa to Korea. That’s why I’m also worried now. 🙁 Anyways, oo, balik ka Japan – bongga din snow nila ata dun.
Hi Shiela,
Since you’re working in a company, who knows you’ll be granted for a visa? 😊 let me know if you’re granted to have one. Good luck. As long as you meet all the requirements.
Sheila, just apply. I was granted visa twice for SK. I had no employment the second time I applied and I explained in my letter that I resigned from my job and I am transitioning to a home based job. I just declared my salary in my explanation letter. My employment certificate was a self certified letter that I am doing home based job as a virtual assistant. I got my visa naman.
Hi Bela,
Hope you don’t mind me asking: did you submit an ITR when you sent your application? I have the same situation with you. I’m working at home and the company has a certification of earnings (proof of employment). Let me know please. Thanks
Nope. I did not submit an ITR. That time, they don’t need ITR if you have previous SK visa already. You can make an explanation letter and tell them that you are a sub-conractor/partner of the company you are working with and you are not an employee that is why your company doesn’t deduct taxes, sss, philhealth and pag-ibig. Just show proof of remittances if you are being paid through paypal. If not, then get a printout of your bank statement to show the money being deposited in your bank as your salary. I don’t know really but the embassies are logical. Every document you show has to make sense. I wish you luck!
Hi Bela,
I’ve been to Korea twice but that was when i was still employed in a private company. I am now an online english tutor. The company does withhold tax and they can provide the necessary documents if I want to file my taxes. However, there is no COE and it seems like I am considered as an independent contractor. Would you mind sharing how you wrote your self certified letter explaining that you are doing a home based job. I am planning to go back in November and I am worried that the embassy might deny my visa this time. ☹️
Jeneil, I didn’t present COE so in replacement was my letter of explanation. The letter of explanation was still entitled Employment Certificate. And in my verbatim, I just explained that I am an independent contractor for a company overseas. I work as a VA and I work from home. I indicated the income I am receiving every month. I got approved naman. I wish you luck.
Thanks Bela for the quick response! 😄
Hi bella,
Planning to apply for SK visa too, Pero tatakot ako baka madeny 😭
Please share it with me too 😊
shee.sy@icloud.com
Thanks so much
Hi Ms. Bella! I was granted a visa the first time I applied for it too. Kaso mag home based job na rin ako this month. I will go back to Korea this November and I’m thinking of doing the same thing you did. Is it possible to show me your explanation letter as your COE? This is my email address: maiself07@gmail.com. I will really appreciate if sending me your letter would be possible. Thank you so much! 🙂
Could you share it with me, too? Thank you!😄 jeneil.demdam@gmail.com
Hi bella. Can I have a copy din? Im also working as an independent contractor.. thanks 🙂 jenn.tajhen@gmail.com
Hi Bella! I am also a freelancer and planning to apply for my visa. Do you mind sending a draft of your explanation letter just to get an idea what to include? 🙂
Hi Bella,
Okay, here’s my update on my visa application – I just applied last Aug. 30, 2017 and it will be claimed on Sept. 07, 2017 which is tomorrow. Today, they called the company’s number reflected on my COE to talk to our HR but unfortunately our HR is not available in the morning since they’ll start working at 3pm onwards because we’re working in an outsourcing company. Our recruitment dept. was the one whom they’ve talked and ask if the HR is available – our recruitment personnel advised them to call back at 4pm for the verification since HR will only be available at that time. I’m kinda worried now co’z i’ve been waiting for their call back but still there’s no call. I hope they would call back tomorrow before they will give their final decision on my application. I might ask the HR to let the recruitment handle the call should they call in the morning. I’m feeling so hopeless..
Hello Ms Shiela!
Did you get approved?
We have the same case and I’m worried
Hi sheila kmusta application mo approved po b kau?
f ur employed, may chance, but as of the percentage, it depends, for instance less than 10k yung salary mu at wala kang savings like 60k, they might think u will look for work or mag TnT ka sa SK. smaller chance but if with that salary peru may savings ka sa bank with the amount na convincing sa consul na kaya mong mabuhay sa SK for the number of days na stay mo dun, higher rate of chance,u just submit all ur requirements…
BUT WHY OUR COUNTRY IS VERY OPEN TO FOREIGN TOURIST? MANY DIFFERENT NATIONALITIES BACK AND FORT, PERO GANON NALANG NILA TAYO KUNG IREJECT. DAPAT HINIHIGPITAN DIN NG PINAS ANG PAGPASOK NILA DITO E, PARA FAIR.
Because we are a third world country and aminin na natin na some filipinos ay TNT sa ibang countries. That is why they are strict.
Aww.. I wish you luck. Just see your visa pasted on your passport. I don’t know what to say but I wish you luck.
May japan visa po ako at onward ticket going to japan mag apply ako ng korean visa ma approve kaya anyway my last destination is japan from mnl kor jpn phl.
Hi Roxanne, just want to share same sentiments here. We were also denied last weeek.. Family kme and i believe we submitted complete docs kase dentist and businessman naman husband ko. Unfortunately, nakabile na kme tickets kase promo but still sayang pa din 🙁 Birthday gift namin sana yung trip sa daughter namin kase she’s fond of korean novelas.. Like you ayoko din ng credit card, ayaw ko may utang 😂
Omg, denied din kayo as family? 😭😭😭 so sad. Ano reason ba?
same here family din kami (4) my husband and my 2 kids graduation gift sana with honors lalo na yong daughter ko kasi avid fan sya ng KPOP denied din… tour package yun dapat tour namin last April 6-9, 2017 tiempo ang cherry blossoms kaya lang sad to say and i cried a lot for that…sabi agency complete naman mga docs namin at ok naman lalo na bank statement namin.. for the reason na ” you failed to qualify to the visa category that you have applied for..
OMG so weird yong reasons nila.
Ayan din po yung reason kung bakit nadeny yung visa application ko. I wonder why. May Japan visa din ako,I was able to provide all the documents. =( Sayang ticket
Hi Erlinda,
I’ve been to Korea with my family before and we applied the visa ourselves. Did the agency filled ip for you or did you fill up the applications yourselves. I am just wondering why you were denied due to the reason that you failed to qualify to the visa category you were applying. Could it be that the agency did something wrong with the filing of documents?
Hi Roxanne, I chanced on your blog while browsing to different Korean visa applic experiences. My friend and I got a promo for SoKor dated June 21 to 24 via tour package pero til now wala pa update regarding our visa application. Inclusive of the package is our visa processing. We complied all docs last March 17 pero til now wala pa raw feedbacks from the embassy according to our agent. Naprapraning na ako. Do you think it’s normal na wala pang feedbacks? I’m getting nuts 😣
Hi Shelly,
I got my feedback within 5 days since I applied on my own at Korean Consulate in Cebu. But I don’t know with your travel agent hopefully they’re legit.
I checked naman po and I know someone na rin who availed their service. Successful naman sila kaso for Japan sila. I am really getting praning na. This morning I spoke again to the agent ff up daw nila again next week. I am really getting praning na. Thanks for your comment 😊😢
Hoping for the best Shelly. 😊
Thanks also ms roxanne 😊 no updates pa rin kame til now
Aww Sana positive result 😊
Hi Ms Rox, i have an update na sa Visa. They are asking for new COE & Bank Cert kasi expired na daw. Both are dated Jan 30, 2017. Now I’m wondering may expiration pala? 😣
Bank certificate should be within 3-6 months from your application. For the new COE, when did your employer gave to you your COE just to clarify?
Bank Certificate attached showed ADB 5 mid-high figures plus dollar account. Attached photocopy pa of passbooks latest 3 months. And for COE sana they could have called our HR. I am employed by 1 of the top 10 corporations in our country. I cannot understand what they are looking for. I am thinking of backing out since nagdududa naman pala sila 😢
January also this year. Im a bank officer and nothing has changed naman sa position ko. 10 years employed same employer …
Hmmm they want you to reproduce another copy, seems like they’re not convinced with the documents you showed. Tsk tsk
Roxanne, if denied, can we still apply?
Hi po, other people re-applied. It’s up to you if you want to re-apply for a week. The embassy said you can apply again after 6 months.
you can check your application here :
https://www.visa.go.kr/openPage.do?MENU_ID=10301
Hi! What if denied yung application, ano magpapakita sa online portal nila? Thank you
After you get your passport, it will indicate na you’re denied. Don’t know with the online portal po.
Pde bang mag kamali ang agency ng pag filled.kc db bihasa n cla sa mga ganyan kc nga travel agency cla..nag travel agency din kc aq..un nga lng failed to qualify visa category din ang dahilan ng embassy. 🙁
Hi! I’m a newly licensed physician and currently unemployed because I plan na magrest muna and travel before working. And I’m quite confused kung saang category ako magffall dun sa list of requiremnts for visa application ng Korean Embassy. Do you have any idea what are the requirements for unemployed adult (and also single) like me? Thanks!
Hello, just show your license I guess and bank account that you can afford to travel.
Hello Doktora. May I know what happened to your visa application? I am also a newly licensed physician and am currently technically unemployed, save for moonlighting. How was your application? And what other documents did you submit? I am submitting my application this week. I prepared an affidavit of support from my parents and will also submit their bank statements, etc. Thank you very much.
Hi can I ask for a copy of the format of Guarantee Letters? Thank you 🙁
I’m quite anxious because I’m currently Unemployed, Single and No ITR. My dad will shoulder my expenses.
Hello, the Consulate gave me the format of Guarantee Letters. Just write a letter of explanation about your guarantor. Thanks.
Hello, I got denied too. A bit upset and disappointed. I bought a roundtrip ticket for June, luckily, the officer at the Embassy told me that I can reapply next week so, I am going to try it again. I will ask a visa sponsor this time. Perhaps, the Consul is afraid that I might just look for a job there coz I am an ESL Teacher. Anyway, let’s just try and try until makuha natin gusto natin sa mabuting paraan. We don’t have any control of it. They evaluate our application according to their standard.
Oh, that’s a good thing. Meaning you still have time to re-apply before your flight. I gave up my South Korea trip since I applied few weeks before my flight.
hi roxanne.. ilang months ba pwede ulet magapply ng korean visa once denied? strict ba sila sa after 6 months? also, i have passbook account ito ba mismo ipapakita or hihingi ako ng bank statement? problem ko pa is nasa 30k lang laman ng passbook ko tas nitong july ko lang siya nalagyan, okay lang kaya yun?
Hello po. Di pa ako sure if strictly after 6 months. Yong iba nakapag apply daw ulet. But I’m not sure pa.
Hello po. My husband got denied po and im here in korea as student. Is it possible to reapply kht wala pa 6months?
Hello, I have no idea pa if it’s okay.
That’s my question as well. I am planning to send an appeal letter though. I already have my ticket and this is just so unfair. I completed all the docs needed.
Try mo mag send ng appeal
Yes, tatry ko next week. Sana pagbigyan pa nila ako. I might provide my ticket na and I will get guarantee letter from my Manager. haaay. This is so stressful.
A guarantee letter from your manager might work. Good luck!
Hi were you able to re-apply and get approved?
Hi. Nag reapply ka a week after ka ma denied? Tinanggap nila?
Nakaapply po ba kayo ulit a week after?
I don’t know why the Korean embassy in my country doesn’t give a reason for a visa denial even for students in my country?
When filling the visa application form, there’s an instance where one is asked of the total cost of travel. Does that includes your flight, tuition fee, lodging or …. Please help
I just said 20 to 25k pesos that’s my budget.
TIP: it’s easy to apply when you have BDO gold credit card or other card below..Try to apply BDO credit card or BPI first before applying for Korean Visa..Less requirements needed when you have this..me and my whole family grant a multiple visa because of this credit card

Hi gneth ipinakita po b nyo sa korean embassy ung credit card mo?
Hello, may I know how much is your BDO GOLD CARD credit limit?
95000 lng po
Hi I just got home from the Embassy at denied din po ang Visa ko. Nakakalungkot. I was planning to give an appeal letter though. Galing din ako ng Japan last January. =(
Denied ka din ba sa Japan? 😭
Nope po. I was able to get a Japan Visa. pero dunno why nadeny ako for SoKor. =( Dream ko pa man din yun. Maybe next time pero nakakatakot na mag apply sa susunod.
I feel the same way and disappointed as well.
I was planning to go back to the embassy and file for an appeal letter. but I’m somehow half hearted to do it. I was like what are the chances of getting that visa? will it change anything. haaay
No idea rin po. Sorry to hear that.
Hi! Did you proceed with the appeal? How did it go?
Hi! How was your appeal? Was it accepted?
Hi! Can you tell me more about your appeal? Was it approved?
Hi everyone!
Been to SoKor twice. Visa processing usually takes 3-5 days especially if you’ve been to OECD Countries. The main reason on whether your visa will be denied or accepted is:
Guarantee
Korean embassy wants a guarantee that you will be returning back to Ph. RT Flight tickets are not a guarantee. If you are going to Korea for a personal travel, it is best to have a Korean resident who will invite you going to Korea. With this, an invitation letter is needed.
Also, a really strong financial statement will be really helpful. ITR is not required if you’ve been to OECD countries. Also, SoKor is a bit careful with self-employed applicants. They will really call your employer so better be truthful with all your requirements.
Korean embassy is really strict when it comes to requirements as compared to the Japanese embassy. You may also try to write a letter of appeal. A friend of mine wrote to the Ambassador himself for his appeal and luckily it was granted.
Korea is really a nice country! Hope you can visit it soon! 🙂
Hi joan! Just want to clarify.. i have a japan visa last 2015. Hindi na ba kailangan ng ITR if may Japan visa since it’s OECD country? 🙂
HI! Can you tell us something more about the appeal that your friend submitted? My friend’s visa got denied, while mine was approved. We
I have the same reason na kung bakit ako denied sa visa application.. planning to reapply this October.. sana ma approve na this time ..😐
Aww you’ll be fine hope you’ll be granted.
How much ang nasa account mo ste nung nag apply ka?
Hello, I’m a student. Me and my friend are planning to apply for Korea Visa. I just wanted to ask if individually po ba yung application form or magkasama na yung amin sa iisa?
Pwede po Sabay na kayo.
Go to jeju there’s a promo until july 1 2017, 16k php MNL-HK-JEJU roundrip ticket only.
Hi po, ask ko lang how much ang money mo sa bank nung nag apply ka po for the korean Visa? Thank you ☺️
Hello, sorry to hear your story. I got my multiple entry visa, and if you want to know my tips, here’s the link https://sarahrubico.wordpress.com/
Anyways, I just wanted to ask if you have a stamp on your passpoer stating that you were denied? Or just a sheet of paper that can be tear off? Thank you!
Sheet of paper that can be tear off.
Greetings!
My friends and I also applied for Korea Visa last May, but three of us got rejected and the other one had less than a week to prepare her visa application. Thankfully, we got to re-apply immediately and request for an early releasing of our application. 🙂
I’ve decided to post our story on my blog since I honestly think we all deserve to experience the beauty of South Korea, as long as we don’t violate their rules. 😉
Here’s the link: http://clairevoyannt.blogspot.com
I hope you’ll re-consider South Korea in your bucketlist, Miss Roxanne! *Virtual hug*
Wow I’ll read your experience.
Hi Ms. Roxanne! I’m a graduating student, and I plan to go to SoKor with my friend later this year. I just want to ask your advice on which category to apply for? I’m not sure if I can still apply as a student as they will be needing my school certificate, and by the time of application, I would have already graduated. Also, do you have any idea on how do the banks compute for the ADB shown on the bank cert? Thank you very much.
I hope you can consider visiting SoKor again soon! <3
Hello, you just need a tourist visa to SoKor. Any countries you want to visit as a visitor, it’s tourist visa. 😊
Hi Rox. I followed this thread in search for some insights on south korean visa denial. Hours ago, i just submitted my tourist visa application in the Embassy of South Korea in Abu Dhabi. Yes. I am an OFW. I usualky travel. Alone. Ive been to 15 countries maybe since 2015. I applied for Sokor visa before and was granted a single entry but I never flew anyway because of a conflict with my flight to Abu Dhabi for a new employment. Everything went fine not until the personnel in the embassy pointed out a recently deposited amount of 16k aed in my salary account. If youre an OFW in UAE, instead of presenting a bank cert from your savings account in the Phil, you must show them a bank statement 3 months from the month of your visa application. The embassy personnel might be thinking that I deposited an amount coming from another person just to augment my current balance. He said that it might be a problem. Do you think I will get denied? My monthly salary ranges from 15 k aed to 20 k aed. Though a big chunk of ny savings is being saved in my Phil account. Whay do you think? Will I get denied or will I be asked for other supporting documents? Thanks
I think you won’t have a problem coz you are working abroad. Just show documents that you’re an OFW.
Thanks Rox. Will update you. Verdict will be in monday
Good luck po, enjoy Korea. Claim it! 😊
I’m nervous :((( I just applied earlier and I’m a student. My documents are all fine and also I’m going to travel with my cousins that’s why I feel like I’m gonna be approved but at the second thought I’m thingking of what ifs :((( It’s really my dream on coming to korea since I’m a k-pop fan since 2009. When did they sent you a question regarding your documents ? how many days before they e-mailed you ? Thanks ! :)))
Within 5 days po.
I think you’ll be fine coz you’re a student and you’re with cousins.
Hi, I just recently resigned from my work last week (July 21), and i’m planning to apply for a korean visa, I already completed all my documents, I also have a COE from my previous employer. I created a cover letter explaining that i recently resigned from my work and no plans yet of getting a new job. All I want is to take a vacation. I have 3 bank certificates and 3 statement of accounts. All in all i think my savings is almost 1M. I have also worked from US the last 4 yrs. Do you think I have a chance of getting a visa? or I really need to be employed first?
Parang may chance ka. Good luck po.
I have not been to Canada and Korea but how about you try Australia? I already went there and I think they are more lenient than Canada and Korea in terms of tourist visa. There’s no snow in Sydney but you can experience it on Perisher Valley. I remembered taking a car trip from Sydney to Perisher for maybe an hour or 2 but you can try Japan again anyway on winter season.
Hi Jen, going to Australia is expensive and I don’t know anyone there. Unless if I travel with a friend and plan for it, that would be fine. Yes Japan is always the best choice as I love the food and culture there.
I’m really worried, the korean embassy just called in our office, sadly there is a problem in our phone so we need to cut the call and we were hoping for another call (for the whole day, but nothing happens). Is there any chance for them to call again? also I we are travelling for 4 and the 3 of us are employed to our mother’s business and we will travel with my mom. However, she has low banks statement (since she use it as an emergency) and I have bigger bank statement that so bothers me. Also she will guarantee my sister. What will I do? is the risk of denied visa is higher?
Hmm no idea, mag eemail naman sila sayo if they need more from you.
Hello. Napapraning na ako kasi hindi ko alam kung accepted o denied ako. Paano ko ba malalaman na accepted o denied ako without traveling to Cebu first? At kapag hindi ako nakatanggap ng e-mail galing sa kanila. Accepted na ba ang ibig sabihan niyan? I’m applying for an exchange student program pero kinakabahan talaga ako. What if hindi matutuloy ang lakad ko? Huhuhuhu
Hello, if exchange student ka, Baka bigyan ka ng student visa.
Hi ask lang po. Nadenied ang visa ko last week. Pwede ba ako magpa process ulit after a week. Pero this time my affidavit of sponsor na po ako. Tatanggapin kaya nila docs ko?
Hello, try Nyo po.
Hindi po nila tatanggapin nagpunta na po ako last 3days ago. Even starring at those documents di nila gagawin. So sad but its true. I’m trying other options.
Hello M,ask ko lng kung letter of appeal lng ba ang dinala mo or need ulit mag pasa ng requirements..kc mag try aq on tuesday sna..bahala na kung accept nla or hindi.atleast nag try p rin aq.
Dinala ko lahat ng requirements as in lahat parang new application pero sa window 1 they event look at it.
Hi m,tama ka nga.galing aq now kor embassy,ni sulyap hindi ginawa sa mga papers ko…sinabi lng na wait after 6months.. 🙁
Elow dada & M…my agency makes a way, pero kailngan daw twgan ako sa landline ko pero wla nman akong landline😔 pero nextweek kakausapin daw nya ulit sa embassy knh phone nlng pwede, case ko nmn daw d lng nsagt twag nila kya mg a appeal kmi
Elow dada & M…my agency makes a way, pero kailngan daw twgan ako sa landline ko pero wla nman akong landline😔 pero nextweek kakausapin daw nya ulit sa embassy kng phone# nlng pwede, case ko nmn daw d lng nsagt twag nila kya mg a appeal kmi
@Rea – nadenied kami last Nov 3. Mag-rereapply sana kami using our BPI Gold Card via agency.
From pampanga lang naman kami kaya pwede kong saglitin sa manila, kasi parang masungit yung agency dito sa SM pampanga.
Anong name nung agency na ginamit mo?
Hi to all Im planning to go to korea.. ive read alot of stories of denied vusa i’m too nervous din.. 🙁 lalo n first time..
I know someone na nag wwork sa governement pero d nmn sa embassy.. pero meron sya nabanggit…
In reality daw po hindi pwedeng wlang madedeny sa embassy.. it applies sa ibang embassy din daw hindi lng korean embassy..
Parang ang style is kelangan sa isang araw meron certain number na maddeny.. so malas mo pag randomly napili ka.. dahil d daw pde lhat approve..
(Cguro pag wla cla makita n tlgang kadeny deny random nga ginagawa nila)
Cguro totoo nga kse i read stories n d inexplain ng embassy bat decline ung visa maliban sa list lng ng nkalagay…
Lalo n dun sa isa n nabasa ko magfriend n exactly the same n sinubmit n requirement isa approve is denied nung nagrreklamo iexpalin further d maexplain…
If ever n madeny ako I’ll try to apply again ang submit the same requirement to see kung totoo nga
Just today my husband grant a denied visa…Although he present and submitted all the requirements,,, tourist for for days,, with him a copy of visa back to Saudi Arabia as a worker this September 8, and some proofs … kaloka..
Oh that’s so sad to hear. Naka book ka na ticket?
Precious, omg ano daw po ang reason nila ate?…me and my husband were both working in KSA and plan po namin magpaprocess ng family tourist visa dyan sa pilipinas since yong anak namin eh nandyan…sabi kasi ng sk embassy dito eh better to submit the application in philippines daw (since our kid doesn’t have iqama, requirement sya if dito sa ksa mag apply and medyo strict sila sa bank account dapat 30k sar per person roughly 400k pesos)…I’ve completed na po yong mga requirements and sa ITR mag rerequest po ako ng certificate of tax exemption dito sa phil embassy sa saudi…plan po namin mag submit ng application 1st week of october, 1st week of november pa po kasi uwi namin sa pinas and plan nmin punta ng SK on 2nd week of november…😔

Hello po na denied rin ako last aug 23 2017 reason: you failed to qualify to the visa category that you have applied for(sad to say hindi ko nasagot ung tawag nila nung tinatawagan ako, dahil d ko narinig call nila) 100% daw denied na yun once hndi mo nasagot at hndi na ulit tatawag
Balak ko ulit mag reapply, but now my idadagdag akong requirements bpi gold mastercard at ksama kna anak ko. Its possible b na maaapprove na ako? At pwede na mag reapply next month? Or after 6months?
Hi! I will be applying for a korean visa this coming October. My tentative flight schedule is on December. I am a government employee and I think I can complete all the requirements. What I’m worrying about is my bank certificate and bank statement. I will use my payroll account from landbank but when I called landbank about it, they told me that I can just print my bank statement using their website iAccess and embassy knows already that they don’t release bank statements anymore because we can just download and print it. Is this true? Or should I go to Landbank and have it certified as true copy? Regarding bank certificate, I am not sure if Landbank issues bank certificate din :'( May nakaexperience na ba ng ganito? any government employee na gumamit ng payroll account here? o kakilala nyo po? help naman po :'( Thank you!
Need certified true copy from landbank mismo.
