Nestled off the southeastern coast of Cebu, the Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort is a sanctuary of pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush landscapes. This exclusive resort offers travelers an idyllic escape, blending luxury with the natural beauty of Sumilon Island.

The Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort getaway was made possible as a Mother’s Day gift for Mom. Last Sunday, I went to the nearest travel agency, Grandiose Travel in Gaisano Minglanilla, to inquire, and on Monday, I went back to confirm my booking to enjoy the day tour package on Tuesday.

Getting to Oslob and Sumilon Island

How to go to Oslob and then to Sumilon Island from Cebu City?

  • Take a Bus from Cebu South Bus Terminal and ride a Ceres or Sunrays Bus with the route Bato Via Oslob. The regular fare is PHP 170 for the non-AC bus and PHP 190 for the AC bus. The bus journey usually takes 4-5 hours.
  • We were from Naga so we just hailed a bus in front of the Saint Francis de Assisi in Naga. The travel time took us 2 hours and 30 minutes. The bus driver knows where to drop us off, that is Barangay Bangcogon in Oslob, Cebu.
  • Taking a private car will take you about 2-3 hours or less.
  • Hire a taxi from Cebu City with less travel time in 1 hour and 40 minutes. The cost may vary from PHP 850 to PHP 1,300.
  • A 15-minute boat ride from Bluewater Port Bancogon to Sumilon Island.

I enjoyed the view here while I was updating my Facebook. Somehow, it made me regret not bringing my laptop with me because, at that time, I’d been receiving e-mails for tasks to do. The other side of me was telling me that I should enjoy the moment without my laptop. It makes me sort of a workaholic person. I love the idea of working online while facing the beautiful beach. 🙂

In this area, I fell asleep while my mouth was opening. LOL, but my mouth was opening while I was sleeping because of my sinusitis. Can anyone relate? Hehe!
