How to Travel from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the Main Railway and Bus Stations

It’s really overwhelming to arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport as it is one of the largest airports in the world. Coming from the Philippines, you will understand what I mean. Since I am not familiar with the airport, I don’t want to get lost going to Bangkok. I found this cheat sheet on how can I reach Bangkok using their efficient means of transportations.

To Bang Sue Grand Station (Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal) - Railway Connection Nationwide

  • Take the Airport Rail Link (ARL) from Suvarnabhumi Station to Makkasan Station
  • Change to MRT Blue Line from Phetchaburi Station to Bang Sue Station

Bang Sue Grand Station (Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal) is located in the same terminal complex as Bang Sue MRT Station.

To Chatuchak (The Northern and Northeastern Bus Terminal) - North and Northeastern Lines

  • Take the Airport Rail Link (ARL) from Suvarnabhumi Station to Makkasan Station
  • Change to MRT Blue Line from Phetchaburi Station to Kanphaeng Phet Station
  • Take a taxi to Chatuchak which is about 2 kilometers to Bangkok Bus Terminal

To Sai Tai Mai (The Southern Bus Terminal) - Southern Line

  • Take the Airport Rail Link (ARL) from Suvarnabhumi Station to Makkasan Station
  • Change to MRT Blue Line from Phetchaburi Station to Bang Sue Station
  • Change to MRT Red Line from Bang Sue Station to Taling Chan Station
  • Take a taxi to Sai Tai Mai which is about 5 kilometers to Bangkok Bus Terminal

To Ekkamai (The Eastern Bus Terminal) - Eastern Line

  • Take the Airport Rail Link (ARL) from Suvarnabhumi Station to Phayathai Station
  • Change to BTS Green Line from Phayathai Station to Ekkamai Station
