Update: Here’s I Renewed my Passport at DFA Puerto Princesa, Palawan

My confirmed appointment was on July 17, 2017. The location of DFA Puerto Princesa is at Robinson’s Place Palawan which opens at 10 AM. My confirmed schedule was at 11 AM to 12 NN. Be sure to be there 30 minutes earlier. The office started the day with a prayer and mentioned about National Disability Prevention & Rehabilitation Week for the month of July which we were watching a documentary.

Priority numbers will be given for those people who have an appointment. Everyone is comfortable in their own seats while watching a gag show to kill boredom while waiting.

Documents I brought with me:

  • Photocopy or scanned+printed copy of your passport (1st page and the last page)
  • Original passport
  • Original copy and photocopy of Birth Certificate
  • Accomplished form printed in A4 size paper

A DFA personnel checked my passports and documents, took the printed copy of my passport and handed me over the passport.

Things they need to ask:

  • What is your purpose of travel?
  • Do you want to pay for express in 10 days (P1200) or regular in 20 days (P950)
  • Pick-up your passport or send it via courier (LBC)?

To answer all the questions, my purpose of travel is a vacation. I just paid P950 and will pick up the passport as I will be staying more in Palawan.

Image capture and digitized signature

The last thing to do is the image capture and digitized signature, which you just need to wait for your name to be called and get ready with your smile. Make sure to confirm everything is correct from spellings and birthdate. I finished my appointment within an hour. All I needed is to wait for a text message to confirm that my passport will be ready for pick-up.

Is Walk-in Application and Passport Renewal Allowed in Palawan?

Walk-in Application

I still don’t know yet as I haven’t seen anyone went to DFA Puerto Princesa for a walk-in application.

Update: No more walk-in applications, please set an appointment.
