My Experience on the Day of Appointment
I needed to travel so I arrived a day before my scheduled appointment and stayed at my parents-in-law’s place. My appointment was on June 6, 2024, from 1 PM to 2 PM.
You have to come at least 10-15 minutes in advance. But I arrived at 10 AM inside the consulate so they accommodated me right away.
I am married here in France but I chose to do a SIMPLE RENEWAL of my Philippines Passport using my maiden name. I just submitted my documents as listed above. For civil status, I stay single in my PH passport.
I paid 66 Euros in cash for the passport fee. Take the receipt and keep it.
While in the waiting area, I was called for photo-taking and biometrics.
When the picture-taking and biometrics are done, you have the option to have your passports to be sent to your French address. Give your envelope with an 8 Euros stamp from La Poste with bordereau of avis recommandee.
It will take 4-6 weeks for the new passport to arrive.
I finished everything at 11 AM so I got the chance to see the Eiffel Tower.
