3 Days and 2 Nights Itinerary in Calbayog City, Samar

A few months ago, my sister went to Calbayog City, Samar for work while I was traveling somewhere just here in the Philippines. I told myself that someday I could visit this island but I had no idea what to do in Samar. Fortunately, last week I got a spontaneous trip invitation and the only requirement is to be an adventurous blogger.

How to get to Calbayog City, Samar?

There are three ways to reach Calbayog, Samar:

1. By airplane

You can fly to Calbayog from Manila through Philippine Airlines and from Cebu through Cebu Pacific launching on November 19, 2016.

2. By ship

From Cebu, you can take the Cokaliong Shipping Lines at 7 PM then you will arrive at Maguinoo Port in Calbayog the next day at 6 AM.

3. By bus or van

If you are from the neighboring provinces of Leyte which you can pass by the San Juanico Bridge, from Tacloban City, it will take 4 hours.

  • Hi. I’m really planning to go there tomorrow because of your amazing write up. Just wondering. What would you guess a rough slightly bloated estimate of how much the whole trip costs per person ? I’m from Cebu too 😊😊

    • Hello, sorry for the late reply as I was in Taiwan. Usually if I travel I bring 10,000 pesos with me.
